Montessori Enviroment

Research by psychologists and Educationalists have proved that the early years of a human being, the formative years, have a tremendous bearing on the type of adult one will turn out to be.

They have in fact pointed out that it is during this foundation stage that a human being accumulates almost two thirds of all knowledge and skills that one would require in life. Dr. Maria Montessori's education model is aimed at doing just that.

The core of Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy of child education is that the child learns through inner discipline from exposure to both physical and mental order. The Montessori environment is as Dr. Montessori called it , a "prepared environment" which caters to this need. The teacher prepares the environment, programs the activities, functions as the reference person and exemplar, and offers the child stimulation through the work itself.
